thursday past marked the 1 1/2 year anniversary with the mister <3

monday approaching is the first day of the fall semester.
 and the countdown begins til graduation...sort of... my baylor hiatus has only put me back one semester, so i'll be graduating after fall 07

i've decided that after i finish my journalism b.a. at uta, i'll move on to get an a.a.s in culinary arts as well...
perhaps with a culinary arts background, i'll have a better chance to be a real and credible food writer... but who knows, maybe i'll just love cooking so much as to stay in the career
either way, i'm looking at cooking schools. i've got a few choices:
  . join toeknee at A.I. Dallas
  . take the cheap route and do it at TCC
  . get away from dfw and go to either A.I. Houston or Texas Culinary Academy in Austin
  . or if i were really that desperate to get away from everything, i could go out-of-state

*shrug*  we'll see

i'm saving my money to invest into an apple laptop. and coincidentially, apple is having this promo where you buy a certian qualifying apple computer, and you'll get a rebate on an ipod.  with tax, i'm lookin at a price in the neighborhood of $1300..... let's just say that i'll be a "balla on a budget" for the rest of the semester -_-

working at the bookstore has become tiresome and routine... i've worked there long enough to start to recognize the troublesome regulars....

i went to the fw star telegram to try to find out information about fall internships. and apparently i was misinformed because there are only summer internships at that newspaper. d'oh. :(

• wednesday'll be the one year and three months anniversary with the mister <3
  
• we're going to scarborough fair on memorial day. hollah at yo girl (or guy) if you're interested in joining us :]
• c-wag is workin at ye ole bookstore again this summer. we're still getting adjusted to the famous random scheduling of the bookstore, so we havent stirred up any trouble yet..... sooner or later be prepared for some major havoc to be reaked, you'll never know when it'll hit ya =)
  
• grades posted. they all turned out a lil on the crappy side, but as i expected. as long as i'm passing, it's all gravy
• looking into having lasik eye surgery done around christmas time... maybe.... if i'm lucky.. we'll see how that goes
• if all goes to plan, i'll be graduating christmas 2007. that means i'm only a semester behind with that hiatus from baylor. wahoo!
  
• kinda sorta but not really looking into internships with the fw star telegram. hopefully i'll be ready enough to apply for this fall semester. there's a regular customer at the bookstore that's one of the editors there and is totally willing to help me get in.
  
• my co-worker has also brought up the fact that she knows someone in the news television business and is willin to try to get me an "in" there too. suhweet!
